Sometimes, I'm clever...

It's true!  Sometimes, I astound myself with my cleverness and wit.

Leah: I need a cure to avoidance behavior.

Me: I'll get to that tomorrow.

Leah: Bahahaha clever.

And there you have it.  Undeniable proof of my awesomely cleverness.

Halloween!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This is my favorite holiday!

I promise, I'll make a more substantial post later tonight/early tomorrow morning.  This is kinda like a placeholder, a promissory note that something better is on its way.

I also wanted to make sure that I got a post in on my favoritest holiday.

I'm doing theory homework, watching Ghost Hunters, and handing out candy...and eating some, too!  Bliss.

Movies

A few months after X-Men Origins: Wolverine was released into the wild yonder of numerous theaters, there was a rumor going around that a Deadpool movie was in the works and would be released in 2012.  I opened up the interwebs and searched on IMDb for this movie.  And it was true!  Deadpool, probably my favorite comic book character of ALL TIME, was getting his own movie.  And Ryan Reynolds was slated to be him.  In that internet search, my dreams were coming true.

I've kept tabs on the movie and noted with great angst and sorrow that the release date was being pushed back.

It wasn't until today, just moments before I started writing, that I checked the status of the movie and saw something that caused great horror and almost had me swooning in my desk (which would be embarrassing as I'm currently in class).  Deadpool has been pushed back to 2014.  WTH, Hollywood?  Where's my freaking movie?!

Please join me in my anger.  I'll be pouting in a corner, planning some sort of major coup that will get me my movie faster.

**In case you can't read the Wolverine and Deadpool interaction:
W: Oh, come on.
D: No.  You smell of beef and cheese.
W: I'll give you a cameo in my next movie.
D: ...fine.  You're the best there is at what we do.  But what we do best isn't very nice.

Short, but..

Okay.  I have 18 followers now (woohoo!) and we're getting closer to my goal.  But, because I'm excited that I have more than four people following my blog, I'm gonna do the giveaway anyway, even if I don't get to 30 followers by Halloween.

So.  In light of this, I now need some ideas for what you'd like to see in the giveaway.  Keep in mind that I'm broke, okay?  Because if you tell me to include a 3D tv, I will snicker at your stupidity and move on.  Yup.

Alright.  Comment and give me ideas so I can make this giveaway even more epic than it already is. \(*o*)/

I have no pictures that really relate to this, so enjoy this picture of me acting like the nerd I am.  And yes, that is a balloon wolf which was gifted to me by the lovely ladies at the Provo Library after a Balloon Guy performance.  The Balloon Guy was freaking amazing.  I laughed so hard!

Class

This is a boring post, but I would like to inform y'all that I was not only on time for my morning class, but I was EARLY!  Yahooooo!

That is all.

The Library

I love my library.  Seriously.  If the library had a human persona, and that persona just happened to be male, I'd marry him in a heartbeat.  Seriously, though, my library is the best library on the face of the earth.

I kid you not.  There are always programs to go to, numerous author events, and basic good times.  You can tell that the librarians really care about their job and the library, which makes it an excellent place to simply go to when you want to study or just plop down in a comfy chair and read.

The Provo Library rocks.

Anyway, I volunteered at an author event yesterday.  There were four authors: Becca Fitzpatrick (Hush, Hush), Michelle Hodkin (The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer), Elana Johnson (Possession), and Moira Young (Blood Red Road).  It was set up as a panel and the audience was able to text in their questions, which were displayed on a screen behind the authors.  It was a truly excellent way to get audience participation without breaking up the flow of questions by hauling around a microphone to the various audience members.

Also, pictures of the event to come.  I'll add them to this post when I transfer them from my phone to my camera.  I meant to do that yesterday, but I got home pretty late from the event and didn't feel like cracking open my trusty laptop and getting it done.

And can I also say that the morning comes REALLY HEAVEN-FORSAKINGLY EARLY when you go to bed late?  I mean, it was relatively on par with when I usually go to sleep, but it seemed worse this morning.  I blame my brain-addling cold which makes sleep near IMPOSSIBLE.  I mean, despite my exhaustion of the previous night, I couldn't breathe well, so sleep was fleeting.  It was like trying to catch a frolicking unicorn and a leprechaun at the same time.

Anyway.  If you live in the Provo/Orem area, definitely check out the Provo Library (<---oh my goodness, it's a link!).  You won't be disappointed.  You might actually run into me as the library is my second home.  Yep. All they need is a hot chocolate machine or something and I'd live there.  The building is beautiful and there are totally rooms in there that would look lovely as my bedroom.  I can picture it now... *wanders away in a dream-like daze, fantasizing about living in the library*

LUSH

Wow, two posts within minutes (ish?) of each other!  Un-freaking-believable.

Anyway.

So, you know that Halloween-inspired giveaway I mentioned a little bit ago?  Well, I'm halfway to the 30 followers I need in order to make it even better!  I already know something of the things I'm going to include in the swag bag, and decided to share.  Click here to check out some of the things that may be included with the bag.  I say may because there's lots of stuff on the page.

And on that note, back to my literary theory homework.  Woohoo...(Ah, Edvard Munch.  This is such a fitting picture.)
